Description
Vet Expert Stimuderm Ultra Shampoo is for animals suffering from excessive hair loss due to a variety of causes. It’s suitable for animals with allergies, parasitic problems such as mange, atopic dermatitis (common in dogs), bacterial and fungal infections, hormonal imbalances or nutritional deficiencies. Complements Stimuderm Ultra Serum.
It might seem like a real faff to shampoo your alpaca or llama, but if your animal has scaly or crusty skin, you need to use something to get rid of the scaly skin or crusts so that any treatment you use afterwards can get down to the skin underneath. Keratolytic shampoos do just that. They also help to address the underlying hypersensitivity in the skin. Shampooing is also very soothing and will reduce itching.
What does Stimuderm Ultra Shampoo do?
- Reduces Excessive Hair Loss: Formulated for long-haired dogs experiencing excessive hair loss, promoting healthier and stronger hair. Yes, it’s designed for dogs, but so are all of these products!! The processes of hair growth are the same in both dogs and camelids, although clearly alpaca fibre is far superior in quality!! 😉
- Strengthens and Nourishes Hair: Contains Active NTMâ„¢, a patented vitamin-derived substance that induces and prolongs the anagen phase (the longest and most active phase of the hair growth cycle), strengthens hair follicles, and improves skin condition.
- Soothes and Heals: Enriched with panthenol, which accelerates skin regeneration, supports damage repair, and reduces redness.
- Anti-Inflammatory Allantoin: Includes allantoin, which has soothing, anti-inflammatory, and keratolytic properties, stimulates wound healing, and hydrates the skin.
- Nutrient-Rich Equisetum Arvense Extract: Rich in essential elements, this extract strengthens hair follicles, conditions the skin, and exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.
Instructions for Use
It is recommended to use Stimuderm Ultra Shampoo in conjunction with Stimuderm Ultra Serum. Use twice weekly on the affected areas initially, reducing to once weekly until hair regrowth is seen. Shampoo the skin using a sponge and try to spend some time working it into the affected areas. Leave the shampoo on the skin for 20 mins if possible, spending this time massaging it into the skin and working it into any cracks and crevices. The rinse off using fresh clean water. All to dry before applying the serum.
Check out our disposable Scrub Brush to help you with shampooing (hint: order at least 2!). You don’t want to keep using the same sponge on animals with mange in case it spreads from animal to animal.
