The Weather has Finally Turned: Haemonchus Warning!
We’ve had a great summer as far as the t-shirt tan is concerned, albeit considerably less great as far as grazing and hay yields go…. It’s been the hottest summer on record here in the UK, while also persistently dry across many parts. While this has meant that parasites such as strongyles, coccidia and liver fluke have had (happily) a harder time over the period, the recent wet weather means that we now have perfect conditions for a Haemonchus headache.
