We are delighted to announce that the 3rd Global Online Camelid Conference for Owners returns on 2nd April 2026, bringing together camelid owners and breeders from around the world for a live, interactive, evidence-based online event focused on one of the most critical areas of herd success: reproductive efficiency.
This year’s conference theme, Management to Maximise Reproductive Efficiency in Camelid Herds, is designed to bridge the gap between reproductive biology and day-to-day herd management. Delegates will gain practical insight into how everyday decisions — from biosecurity and breeding management to pregnancy monitoring and birthing — directly influence fertility, cria survival, and long-term herd sustainability.
A truly global, live event
The 3rd Global Online Camelid Conference for Owners will be delivered live online, allowing owners across multiple time zones to attend in real time:
- UK: 2.00 – 9.30pm
- Central Europe: 3.00 – 10.30pm
- USA (EST): 9.00am – 4.30pm
- USA (PST): 6.00am – 1.30pm
- Australia (AEDT): Midnight – 7.30am
What the 3rd Global Online Camelid Conference will cover
The programme takes a structured, practical approach to reproductive success, including:
- – How to set up your farm and breeding operation for optimal reproductive outcomes
- – Male fertility: what’s normal, what’s not, and how management affects performance
- – Female breeding management and understanding the camelid reproductive cycle
- – Pregnancy diagnosis, monitoring, and recognising risk periods
- – Common causes of infertility and how to address them
- – Birthing: recognising normal versus abnormal deliveries
- – An evidence-based overview of assisted reproductive techniques, including artificial insemination and embryo transfer.
Expert speaker
This year’s conference will be wholly delivered by internationally recognised reproductive specialist Ahmed Tibary, Professor Emeritus at Washington State University.
Dr Tibary has dedicated his career to camelid, equine, and ruminant reproduction and is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities in camelid theriogenology. His teaching combines deep scientific understanding with real-world clinical and herd-level experience, making this conference especially valuable for owners who want practical, applicable knowledge — not theory in isolation.
Interactive Q&A
After registering, delegates will be invited to submit specific questions in advance. These questions will be addressed by Dr Tibary during a dedicated discussion session, alongside live questions arising from the day’s presentations. Supporting photos or documents can also be uploaded to help contextualise questions where appropriate.
Why this conference matters to you…
Reproductive efficiency underpins not only productivity, but also animal welfare, sustainability, and long-term herd viability. Poor outcomes are rarely due to a single failure; they are usually the result of cumulative management decisions over time. This conference focuses on helping owners recognise early warning signs, prevent avoidable problems, and make informed, evidence-based decisions that support both animal wellbeing and breeding success.
